Parent helpers & visitors to school

We are always keen for parents to come and help out in class, for example, reading, general classroom work, basic cooking, etc. If you can spare a morning or afternoon on a regular basis, please let your teacher know. No previous knowledge is needed, but an extra pair of hands comes in very useful! We are only able to give the children the broad curriculum that we have because of your help.

You will need to apply for DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) clearance, please see Mrs Drew for an application form. If you are going through this process, please inform the school once you have received your certificate. On your first visit to school as a ‘parent helper’ we will also ask you to read & sign a document regarding Child Protection and other school protocols.

We ask that all visitors in school return to the reception desk and sign out, however at times the reception desk may not be staffed. To increase the security in school, we ask now that you ring the bell and wait for a member of staff to safely manage your departure.

Lunchtime Supervisors

Do you think you have what it takes to be a lunchtime supervisor? This is a very rewarding and important role within the school. From time to time we do look to increase our numbers as our school numbers continue to grow. If you would be interested in joining our friendly team, please contact Mrs Drew in the school office.

We have an induction brief for contractors who attend on-site and work closely with them to timetable their work to fit in with our school day. Essential work taking place during the school day is carefully managed.
