Day 5

After a final morning of being on the lake, zip wiring or climbing, bags have been packed and lunches eaten. We’ve had a fabulous week with amazing teamwork, so independence and too many displays of bravery and courage to count. We’re now having a final pack and then are heading home. Parents - washing machines at the ready! Have a great half term!

Day 4

The children have had a wonderful Thursday - and their favourite food day yet! The day finished with the much anticipated disco where the children had great fun requesting their favourite songs ranging from Sweet Caroline to Frozen! Bags are nearly packed and the children are excited for their final activities in the morning. Lots of them are looking forward to a final trip to the lake for their raft building or pedalo sessions.

Day 3

After another good night’s sleep, everyone loved the pancakes for breakfast and we have also enjoyed a visit from Mrs Robinson this afternoon. We’ve had another amazing day of activities and fabulous weather to go with it. We’ve seen lots of teamwork at the zip wire, curiosity at the pond dipping sessions and courage on the climbing wall. Rooms have been tidied and we are looking forward to our evening activities.

Day 2

After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the children (and adults) have had another glorious day at Avon Tyrell, jam-packed full of amazing activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, geocaching and bushcraft. Resilience, perseverance and determination are among the many virtues the children have demonstrated and developed. We are excited for an another evening of exploration around the grounds and free time with friends!

Below are some photos that capture the different activities from today. Apologies if your child is not in the photos, they will be featured later on in the week.

Day 1

Year 6 have had a fabulous first day at Avon Tyrell. Lots of activities have taken place already. Some groups have taken to the lakes, some to the tree tops and some to the range. This evening we have enjoyed a camp fire and some orienteering. All beds are made and lights are out! We are looking forward to continuing to build on our team work skills and tackle some more ambitious and adventurous activities tomorrow.
